The "One Skill Retake" Policy Will Go Into Effect in March 2023.

Before, if a student failed or did not achieve the desired marks in any module of the IELTS, he or she had to retake the full exam. The International English Language Testing System is a high school and international migration English language competence test for non-native English speakers.

According to a recent update economictimes, IELTS will implement a "One Skill Retake" provision in which candidates will be able to retake only the module in which they scored the lowest. It means students no longer have to take all four modules of the IELTS exam. The modification will go into effect in March 2023.

In November, the 'One Skill Retake' program was introduced in Australia. Hopefully, it will soon be introduced in other countries including India as well.
